Way back in February I did a couple of super fun parties for some local high school Juniors and Seniors.  I called it a Crazy Cam party, and basically, the hostess invited some of her besties over, I brought pizza, drinks and my camera and some props, and we spent the evening photographing everyone with fun hats, feather boas, crazy glasses and other funny props.  You can see the pics from Courtney’s Crazy Cam party here on my Facebook page, and Allison’s Crazy Cam Party pics are here. It was so much fun! At each event, I did a drawing to give away a free Short and Sweet senior session to one lucky party-goer and my latest senior was one of the lucky winners.

When we met up for a pre-session consultation, we decided that a pretty, green, park type area would be a great location for her senior photos. I suggested one of my favorite parks in Pflugerville, and so the date and time were set. I did my usual due diligence on the city’s website to make sure there wasn’t a major event going on, but sadly, when we got there that day, the park was closed down for a private event. 🙁 Luckily, I knew of another cool park nearby, and we went there instead. However, this park wasn’t the wilderness I wanted, but I think we made it work. It’s amazing what one can do with some good lenses and lovely, yummy bokeh (that’s the blurry stuff in the background of an image).

 She is such a cutie! I just loved that soft, coral dress against the green grass. Though I just had to try a few with the stone and concrete columns and the rays of light coming in behind her.  She looks like a dancer here to me.

 Fabiola has a gorgeous smile. It was fun trying to get her to do the serious faces. She kept breaking into that smile.

 Even the half smile is gorgeous. Believe it or not, that’s just green grass in the background. I was standing on a bench shooting from above her.  I did try for one more serious look…and she nailed it. GORGEOUS!This was such a great session! Short, sweet, and perfect. Even with a last minute change of venue, the resulting images were awesome.
